·      Manage teams responsible for SEO tasks and paid search campaigns

·      Oversee day-to-day SEO efforts for WebMD network including, WebMD’s UK site and

·      Ensure consistency for SEO tactics performed across WebMD network of sites

·      Coordinate internal communication of SEO best practices and success

·      Maintain overall SEO process and train junior

·      Serve as key stakeholder for SEO efforts across other departments including providing product requirements related to SEO, maintaining content best practices, and managing technical review and UAT

·      Collaborate with senior traffic acquisition staff to set direction for daily tasks and process related to all search engine marketing efforts


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of SEO experience
  • 7+ years of experience with SEO as primary function or 10+ years of in a digital marketing role inclusive of SEO
  • 2+ years of management and employee development experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading SEO process for large websites
  • Complete understanding of SEO strategies, search term research, keyword targeting, and technical obstacles that would hinder search engine bot crawling and indexing and SEO editorial best practices ( a differentiator)

  • Highly skilled in developing effective keyword targeting strategy, prioritizing SEO initiatives, and executing on planned SEO tactics: Candidate must be able to provide work samples or case studies of successful execution of SEO tactics and/or other digital marketing initiatives that have led to increases in website traffic
  • Have proven communication and writing excellence, an exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in our dynamic high growth and deadline-driven environment
  • Be able to work independently as well as collaborate as a cross-functional team member.
  • Excellent knowledge of optimizing web sites for major search engines; including how HTML, Javascript and site architecture impact search rankings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Google webmaster tools and other such tools
  • Experience with Omniture/Site Catalyst web metrics a big plus
  • Experience with international or UK specific SEO campaigns preferred
  • Experience optimizing large web sites with content management publishing systems preferred
  • Experience with third-party enterprise SEO tools preferred
