Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

Our Marketing Copywriter will be primarily focused on creating persuasive marketing content for high-level decision makers within the medical education field. This role will be responsible for translating business intent into engaging creative strategies and executions. In this role you should able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of target audiences and should have a track record of successful collaboration with internal teams, including designers, project managers, and other team members. You will be comfortable with receiving constructive feedback and demonstrate an ability to take direction on the development of materials.


Responsibilities also include:

  • Creating effective copy that reflects the appropriate tone and voice
  • Writing efficient, clear and engaging copy within established timeframes
  • Persuasively presenting creative ideas and rationale
  • Ability to translate messaging for variety of delivery methods – print, online, social media
  • Ensure creative intent is not diluted and the desired tone and voice are maintained
  • Actively collaborating with internal teams to develop promotional materials.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Contribute to other internal communications projects as needed


  • A Bechelor's degree in communications, English, creative writing, marketing, similar discipline is required, or equivalent years of work experience
  • 3 or more years of marketing writing experience (Healthcare, Wellness, or Education)
  • Experience and a working knowledge of social media platforms and associated writing styles
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.


NOTE: You will be required to provide a portfolio of work that demonstrates a variety of writing experience for high level audiences, including samples of your work on a variety of Social Media platforms
