What You’ll Do:


  • Collaborate with internal team members and external educational partners and vendors to obtain details and direction for new writing assignments prior to developing content
  • Write gap statements and needs assessments that are clear and concise, follow recognized standards, and are supported by internal and external data
  • Write or edit medical education content that is aligned with the educational grant and appropriate for the target learner audience
  • Use templates and tools to write proposals that tell a compelling story on the rationale, instructional intent and value of the proposed solution
  • Incorporate revisions based on input from cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Ensure all content is clinically-appropriate, instructionally-sound, adherent to ACCME regulations, and completed within budget and time scale to the highest quality
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of important clinical issues, relevant literature, clinical practice guidelines, approved therapeutic drugs and regimens, therapeutic pipelines, and key opinion leaders in Oncology and Hematology
  • Travel a few times a year for training opportunities

  • Highly skilled at describing complex scientific data and results to a non-technical audience while incorporating data, visuals, and narrative into a compelling written story is preferred.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree (life sciences, public health, or clinical sciences preferred)
  • Spent at least 2 years’ writing grant proposals or medical content for a medical education/communications company, professional medical publisher, or academic institution/hospital/university center, medical society
  • Sufficient background in the oncology and/or hematology fields to be conversant with key/emerging issues related to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Excellent editorial (editing and writing) skills, preferably in the area of grant/proposal and manuscript development; familiarity with AMA style plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills to independently and quickly deal with unforeseen issues to ensure that timelines are consistently met
  • Excellent computer skills that includes working remotely on shared networks and cloud-based systems, and a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite required; web-based data and document sharing sites and authoring tools (Box, Read Cube, SharePoint, EndNote, Tableau) a plus
  • High professionalism and easy rapport in building collaborative work relationships


Preferred Qualifications


  • A graduate with an advanced medical or science degree (MD, PharmD, RN, NP, PA, PhD)
  • Experience with web-based project management tools (such as Workfront, MS Project)
