    Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

    Medscape Education is seeking an experienced, creative individual in print graphic design. A background in marketing, advertising and editorial would be best. By joining Medscape Education, the leading provider of online medical education for clinicians (medscape.org), you will work with other talented graphics experts and scientific content developers to create custom graphics, and designs for print and digital educational materials. 


    What you’ll do

    • Create custom graphics for use both digital and print media
    • Create print collateral materials (postcards, brochures, web reprints, multipage layouts, folders, tent cards, etc.) for marketing, live events and digital distribution
    • Design PowerPoint templates and masters for use by our content development teams
    • Liaise with internal teams to identify images/graphic assets for specialty pages and print materials 

    Who you are

    • A graphic designer experienced in conceptual graphics and layout design
    • Someone with a portfolio that demonstrates a history of generating innovative graphics and layout designs across digital and print media
    • Obtain satisfaction in the accuracy and consistency of your work
    • A true team player who jumps in and tackles new assignments and constantly looks for ways to help the department
    • Comfortable in a highly deadline-driven environment, and able to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities
    • Possess strong problem-solving skills to quickly deal with unforeseen issues


    • Degree in Graphic Design, an associates or bachelors degree or equivalant experieince
    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working as a designer for a publishing, medical education, pharmaceutical advertising, and/or medical communications company
    • Experience creating print collateral materials (postcards, brochures, web reprints, multipage layouts, folders, tent cards, etc.) for marketing, live events and digital distribution
    • Experience with handling all aspects of digital printing from prepress file setup procedures to mounting and cutting a plus
    • Experience with branding and ability to adhere to company design guidelines for brand, style, colors, etc
    • Experience creating infographics to communicate statistical data a plus
    • High level of proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design/illustration software
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
    • Must provide portfolio of design work
