    WebMD Systems Engineering team is looking for a skilled, ambitious Systems Engineer to join a very versatile team that designs and supports Linux, Windows Operating Systems, Virtualization solutions such as VMWare/Hyper-V/KVM, SAN, NAS storage systems, Enterprise data backups, Active Directory, DNS, Anti-virus and Chef. The candidate will be involved in a team that handles day-to-day tickets, designs and implements technology solutions and contributes to multi-team projects. Occasional after-hours work is expected. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well with others, shows a positive attitude and is excited to learn new technologies and concepts.


    • 3+ years of systems engineering and  administration in a heterogeneous environment.
    • Very strong experience managing at least one of the following virtualization platforms: Hyper-V, KVM, VMWare
    • Strong administration skills supporting Redhat-Based Linux Distros such as CentOS 6/7, Redhat Linux
    • Strong administration skills on Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016 Server Operating Systems.
    • Strong understanding of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, Rsync, DHCP, Samba and SSH
    • Experience in handling complex NFS, SMB and CIFS permissions
    • Experience with at least one enterprise-grade monitoring solution
    • Experience managing enterprise-grade anti-virus solutions such as McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or Palo Alto Traps
    • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
    • Experience in scripting with Bash Shell, PowerShell

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience working with NetApp, EMC SAN/NAS Storage technologies
    • Experience writing complex scripts using Python, and Ruby
    • Experience working Chef, Containers, Dockers, Puppet
    • Understanding of Oracle, MS SQL Databases, MySQL, Postgres Databases
    • Experience with MAC OS in enterprise environments and handled video data
    • Experience managing backup products such as EMC Avamar, Data Domain, and Networker
    • Understanding of DELL/IBM/HP Blade Center technologies
    • Understanding of general-purpose security concepts, OS hardening, WireShark, Arista Network Switches
