    WebMD’s Health Services business enables employers and health plans to provide their employees and plan members with access to personalized health and benefit information, decision support technology that helps them make informed benefit, provider and treatment choices and provides telephonic health coaching services.

    • Extract, analyze, and interpret healthcare and/or financial data to address business questions regarding population health management, health and economic outcomes, quality of healthcare, and product design.
    • Report on healthcare utilization trends and financial savings derived from the WebMD Health Services program, specifically for the health plan market.
    • Integrate revenue, claims data and risk metrics for forecasting results.
    • Work with clinical and product development teams to understand and evaluate the drivers of quality, engagement, and utilization among user base.
    • Assist with ad-hoc analytics for new business development projects.
    • Participate on internal workgroups and committees to provide analytical insight and support for the implementation and enhancement of new programs, products, and services.
    • Produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
    • Communicate analytical results so that they are easily understood by non-technical persons.
    • Assist junior team members through informal training and mentoring.


    • Education: MPH, MBA, MS, MA in health science, quantitative social or physical science, public health, health services research, epidemiology, or business, or BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience.
    • 7+ years of data analytics experience.
    • 3+ years of health care industry analytics experience, preferably in managed care environment, consulting firm, and/or workplace wellness space.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare quality measurement methods and health insurance business principles.
    • Experience working with large-scale health databases, health statistics (e.g., epidemiology or health services), program evaluation methods, mathematical/statistical modeling, statistical graphics.
    • Strong programming experience in statistical/analytical tools (R, SPSS, SAS, etc; R preferred).
    • Strong SQL experience.
    • Experience working with data warehouses.
    • Forecasting and trend modeling experience preferred.
    • Experience with pricing and/or cost analysis.
    • Experience in cost-of-healthcare or quality of care assessment in a managed care setting.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, documentation, presentation, and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to a widely diverse audience.
    • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
