    Responsibilities

    Medscape, a division of WebMD, is currently seeking a Digital Production Coordinator for our New York Education business unit. Medscape develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, as well as earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

    The Digital Production Coordinator position reports to Associate Production Manager in Medscape Education’s Publishing Operations team and will be responsible for successfully programming content onto the live site. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and can balance multiple projects and client requests, under tight timelines.

    In this role you will:

    • Coordinate publishing projects for org, managing client requests and assigning resources
    • Conduct QA to ensure content matches product specs and source materials
    • Interface with Editorial teams on a daily basis
    • Help facilitate project delivery, managing multiple projects under tight timelines
    • Work with content management and project management systems
    • Assist with UAT of new products and releases
    • Collaborate on troubleshooting, custom solutions and operationalization of new features/products
    • Promote process improvement, whether independently or collaboratively with the team

    Qualifications

    • BA, BS,  or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 2-4 years professional experience in web production, project management, or other related area
    • Exceptionally well-organized and detail-oriented
    • Strong problem solving and communication skills
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Working knowledge of HTML and content management systems
    • Knowledge of web development processes and web standards
    • Must have the ability to respond quickly to client requests
    • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools

     

    Preferred Qualification

    • Medical publishing experience
    • Knowledge of CSS, UX design, and other current web technologies
    • Experience with Workfront, Jira, Confluence, and working in an agile environment
