    WebMD is currently seeking a professional Technical Writer for our expanding Business Intelligence and Analytics group within Marketing Sciences. With the growing demand for new products, analysis, modeling and automations to enhance efficiencies, there is a strong demand for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with development, analysts and scientific staff to ensure accuracy of product descriptions and requirements.     • Create requirements documents for new products and capabilities and obtain signoff from Product Marketing, Development, Program Marketing, and Reporting
    • Create and maintain the information architecture
    • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals, ensuring continuity of style and content
    • Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts to meet end users’ needs
    • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and help to educate our internal clients
    • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
    • Work with internal teams to understand products, talk with product managers and developers to understand and document requirements
    • Gather usability feedback from product managers, developers, and product marketers
    • Create tutorials to help end users use a variety of applications
    • Analyze existing and potential solutions, focusing on reuse and scale opportunities
    • Work is subject to regular supervisory review at defined milestones. Operates within the context of approved methods.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or related; or 4 years of additional experience in business analysis or technical writing
    • 3+ years in business analysis with experience writing technical specifications or documenting technical systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
    • Experience writing in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
    • Advanced attention to detail
    • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
    • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and Agile software development
    • Experience with the following tools:  Microsoft office suite; Database query tools: DB Visualizer; Business Intelligence reporting platforms, (e.g. Tableau), Web analytics tools such as  Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics; Ticketing Systems such as Jira and/or Kanban
