    The Director of QA will be responsible for all Quality Assurance for our software development organization, both domestically and offshore. This role will report to our VP of Technology and will work closely with managers and teams. She or he will define and implement strategies that balance short-term release requirements with investments in automation and long-term efficiency improvements. They will lead and manage a team of highly-motivated SDETs and QA Engineers, building maturity in the QA function and partnering with software development managers to shorten release cycles and build our automation library. We are looking for a leader with excellent communication skills who challenges the team to work cross-functionally to solve critical problems and develop innovative solutions. 


    • Understand how QA participates in delivering on an overall business strategy, and tailor QA objectives and processes to support larger business goals.
    • Build and provide leadership and strategic direction to the Quality Engineering organization.
    • Design, manage, and maintain all Quality Assurance practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics.
    • Partner with senior staff to oversee the design and implementation of testing frameworks, test infrastructure, and tools.
    • Utilize fact and data-driven metrics to communicate results, promote cross-functional communication, and ensure adequate information flow within the organization.
    • Drive continuous improvement through adopting and improving processes, tools, skills, and infrastructure.
    • Develop resource strategies, allocating staff, tools and specialized support as necessary to ensure that testing commitments are met

    We’d Like To See:

    • Leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and proficiency in hands-on people management.
    • Extensive experience heading a Quality Assurance team, responsible for testing web-deployed software stacks supporting either consumer websites or SaaS applications.
    • Solid understanding of software development cycles, particularly for microservice-based applications.
    • Deep knowledge and experience with implementation of various testing methodologies and test automation tools and techniques for mobile, web, and RESTful webservices.
    • Experience in HIPAA or other secure environments is highly desirable.
    • Have worked in both .NET and Linux-based technology organizations.
    • Solid knowledge of testing techniques to determine appropriate number of test iterations and applying risk-based testing concepts.
