    Responsibilities

    The Associate Resource Manager is responsible for working closely with the Senior Resource Manager to support the resource planning, allocation, project maintenance, and scheduling for the Audience Profiling and Segmentation team (Business Intelligence Data Analysts and Reporting specialists) that can include full-time and freelance staff. The Associate Resource Manager is responsible for assisting in the workload and assignments in support of a portfolio of digital promotional programs and reporting spanning across the Marketing and Editorial divisions under the direction and supervision of the Senior Resource Manager. In addition, the Associate Resource Manager works to develop key relationships with Client Services, Program Marketing, Data Services, Editorial, and Campaign Integration, and works closely with other department Resource Managers to ensure that resources align and are assigned based on skill set, timing, and prioritization needs. The Associate Resource Manager focuses on developing excellent project management skills, and helps ensure that projects and are properly resourced to run efficiently, according to process, and meeting client and internal deadlines. This role will help plan for incoming projects and implement resource changes against evolving priorities for existing projects. The ideal candidate has the desire to develop an understanding of each resource’s professional disciplines, has some experience or exposure to project workflow/management, and some experience with database technologies and analytics.

    Responsibilities

    • Help lead the department resources by managing the workflow from pre-sale support through successful launch
    • Support the coordination of capabilities and workload by skill level and project; develops the ability to match team members against project needs and deadline requirements
    • Effectively communicate with and coordinate the work of multiple internal teams to ensure quality and timeliness of program delivery; support a consistent positive workflow between teams
    • Project assignment and ongoing project maintenance for the team; continuously assess team workload and balance accordingly
    • Monitor day-to-day project tasks, identifying potential areas for delay and actively work with Senior Resource Manager to address and solve issues before they arise
    • Leverage resourcing dashboards for the department and individual resources via online project management workflow systems (Workfront, JIRA)
    • Escalates day-to-day task-related issues, acceleration, and prioritization requests to the Senior Resource Manager
    • Helps lead daily department resource meeting and facilitates resourcing issues/conflict resolution with the Senior Resource Manager
    • Focus on mastering process in order to help improve the organization's ability to produce high-quality programs
    • Recommend resource management-related process improvements to Senior Resource Manager on an ongoing basis
    • Participate in and support special projects as assigned
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of Medscape product offering and process as it relates to resourcing and workflow
    • Cross train with other departments to develop a 360 understanding of process/project workflow and coverage needs

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS or equivalent years of experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management, operations, database management/analytics, or other relevant field preferred
    • Minimum 1 year relevant experience working in a high-volume, process-oriented environment with exposure to database technologies and analytics preferred
    • Minimum 1 year of practical experience with Excel (vlookup, named ranges, pivot tables, formulas, etc.) a plus
    • Experience working in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing a plus
    • Experience using online workflow management tools (i.e Workfront, JIRA) preferred
    • General understanding of database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Vertica a plus
    • General understanding of analytic principles that determine measure success of programs, which can include click through analysis, retention, re-engagement and A/B testing.
    • Agency experience a plus
    • Self-motivated and solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to support peers and action-oriented results
    • Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to support multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneously
