    Responsibilities

    Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.  

     

    Responsibilities:

    • The Multimedia Producer will work with internal and external staff and clients to produce the best quality medical educational news content for the website, including the shooting, editing and processing of raw audio and video footage for online usage.
    • The candidate will manage the production process from start to finish, organizing all the resources needed for video shoot, edit and delivery.
    • This position requires extensive travel and work on nights & weekends.
    • The Multimedia Producer will work collaboratively with the rest of the Production department, and perform other duties as assigned by manager.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required
    • 4+ years experience in web and video production including camerawork, lighting and knowledge of non-linear editing systems required
    • Extensive experience field producing and directing crews
    • Experience working collaboratively with clients, project managers, and technology
    • Understanding of video and audio-related content, technologies and strategies
    • Creative ability to edit and prepare video segments to be posted online in various formats, optimized for web-based output, both desk top and mobile
    • Adept at juggling multiple projects at once
    • Ability to diplomatically work with multiple personalities in the field
    • Working knowledge of video encoding for the web and different video file formats
    • Experience working with medical personnel preferable
    • Experience producing internationally
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Project management skills a plus; exceptional attention to detail a must
